ABOUT HEIN HOFMEYR
HPCSA registered psychotherapist & clinical psychologist in Nelspruit & White River area
I am a psychotherapist and clinical psychologist registered with the HPCSA. I did my MA: Clinical psychology degree at the University of Pretoria and graduated in 2016.
I have a passion for the human mind and how individuals interact with their environment drawing on their past experiences as starting point. I enjoy working with adults, children from school going age, couples and families with whichever needs and wants they bring to the session. These might include life challenges, assessment or psychiatric conditions.
My approach to psychotherapy focuses on certain traditional methods as well as evidence-based methods supported by current research to aid individuals with their specific needs. This integrative approach to therapy increases my understanding of my clients, according to their individuality and strengthens the therapeutic relationship which is seen as one of the core dynamics in predicting successful change.

I have a passion for the human mind and how individuals interact with their environment in the present and drawing on their past experiences as starting point. I conduct individual therapy with adults and children from 10 years of age struggling with traumas, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, ADHD and other psychosocial difficulties.
By further combining psychological assessment to the therapy sessions, I gain a more holistic and integrated picture of the individual’s weaknesses and strengths to assist them in creating change in their life’s challenges, work, school or inter-personal settings and situations.
